Designing the Coaching Landscape
Sukjae Lee, Ph.D.,
Creator of the Effectiveness Coaching Methodology
January 16, 2026
This time, I completed an integrated Coaching System by holistically connecting neuroscience, cognitive science, and the Effectiveness Coaching Methodology (ECM). On this foundation, I wrote a Change Algorithm structured into four processes. In doing so, I drew on Holistic Effectiveness; the MEWEMIND philosophy (mewemind.com), a sense of community captured in the idea that when you turn the focus from “Me,” you discover “We”—that “We exist within Me”; the linkage between individual change and organizational change reflecting this philosophy; the Connecting the Dots with MEMC principle; and evidence-based coaching.
Based on 24 years of field-centered coaching practice, I believe I have expressed the accumulated experience, learning, and conceptual system (meaning system) well as a change algorithm that moves from an old version to a new version. The manuscript consists of four parts and fifteen chapters. Let us take an Eagle’s View look through it by the weekend. Up to this point, this is the author’s perspective.
When I meet with the publisher and editors, I intend to respect their perspectives. For now, at this moment, I offer myself self-praise, recognition, and encouragement for the effort I have made. “Yes, you did very well.” This book is a gift to myself and an expression of gratitude to everyone who has helped me along the way. Above all, I am thankful that, despite physical pain, I was able to overcome it and complete what I had long aspired to do—“designing the coaching landscape.”
